We were pleased to continue our support of the Red Meat Sector Conference, returning as the official coffee cart sponsor in 2022.  It is a privilege to be part of the conference, and a community that’s goal is to promote and foster the red meat sector.

This year it was held at the new Christchurch Convention Centre, Te Pae, a stunning state of the art facility that catered for the 300+ strong crowd of passionate meat industry supporters. This year Murray Davis, Nick Shepard and Guy Bignold attended and was a great opportunity to catch up and network with those in the sector.

Nick commented, “there were some fantastic discussions that engaged the crowd, from talks about the opportunities and issues facing the sector, addressing New Zealand’s carbon footprint, logistics and supply chains, labour challenges, sustainability, technology and promoting meat as a main source of protein, the conversations were in depth and varied.” He was also impressed with the new Q&A app that allowed you to post questions on the app during or at the end of the presentation for the speaker to then respond. “This was a great way to engage with the audience.”

The conference was concluded with a packed-out gala dinner, showcasing a range of the beautiful red meat that New Zealand has to offer, it was a great end to another informative and engaging conference.
