This process allows the pastoral industry to store DNA for analysis of pedigree traceability, gene discovery, and parentage, and to help determine meat quality.
In the 1990’s we were approached by the New Zealand meat industry to develop a solution to allay concern around the outbreak of foot and mouth disease. Previously, DNA was captured by drawing blood via a syringe and dispatching the blood for testing in vials, however a more convenient and efficient method was required.
We developed the EasiTrace solution in partnership with AgResearch. EasiTrace won the 2007 Gold Award for Industry Development at Pride in Print.
