Our offer is truly trans-Tasman with significant production, prepress and people power in both Australia and New Zealand. From the founding Auckland manufacturing base, the business spawned Lingard Labels in Christchurch, initiated a bold 1998 Hally expansion into Brisbane, and later acquired AC Labels in Sydney. More recently in February 2021 we purchased Adhesif Labels Australia and in April 2021 we purchased Label Partners in Adelaide.

These days Hally Labels is a fully integrated network with four production sites across two countries. We use complementary technology and standardised processes to achieve consistently world-class service and results. Our leadership team manages Hally Labels as one business, giving clients seamless, single-touch access to the entire Hally offering.

Facilities and equipment

Our best-of-breed equipment includes 33 presses across four sites and the most sophisticated prepress system in the industry. Our printing technologies include both digital offset and flexographic to allow us to competitively supply short and long run, static and variable work. Our printing and finishing machinery suppliers include HP, MPS, Gallus, Mark Andy, Nilpeter, ABG, Prati and Rotoflex.

Hally Labels was founded by Ian and Pam Hally in 1965. Their children, Grant Hally and Anne Everard, continued their parent's legacy with stewardship of the business until 2015 at which time the Hally family sold to private investors, Hexagon Holdings, after 50 years of ownership. We are proud to carry the Hally name into the future, one that is synonymous with innovation, deep labelling expertise and passion for the label industry. Here are some of the key moments in our history.

Over the years

• 2021 - In October 2021 Multi-Color Corporation acquired Australian/New Zealand Hexagon Label Group 
• 2021 - In April 2021 we acquired Label Partners in Adelaide
• 2021 - In February 2021 we merged with the Australian arm of Adhesif Labels and the Adhesif NSW business relocated to Greystanes, adding 40% to our Australian volume
• 2020 - We opened our second Sydney site - a Distribution Centre in Greystanes 
• 2019 - We installed a strip-adhesive coating machine in Brisbane and entered the linerless market specialising in wraps produced for Ravenwood applicators
• 2018 - Two world class MPS flexo presses were installed in our Brisbane plant, increasing our width, capacity and speed
• 2018 - Our Christchurch plant received a massive boost in capacity and capability with the transfer of an RCS330 from our Brisbane plant
• 2018 - Our Sydney site moved into a brand new, purpose-built property in the prestigious Greystanes subdivision
• 2017 - We invested heavily in our digital offer by upgrading our HP print equipment and adding fully embellished finishing lines to Sydney and Auckland 
• 2016 - AC Labels was fully integrated into Hally Labels, and our Auckland site was rebranded Hally Express
• 2015 - In 2015, Hally Labels was acquired from the Hally family by Hexagon Holdings, a privately owned specialist label holding company, and the remainder of AC Labels shares were purchased
• 2013 - In 2013 Hally Labels acquired a majority shareholding in AC Labels, a Sydney based label manufacturer established in 1974. AC Labels was one of the first in Australia to invest in digital printing technology in 2004
• 2011 - Our second HP Indigo digital offset press was installed in Auckland
• 2008 - Hally Labels acquired the label division of the Buckner Group, in order to expand further in the Australian market
• 2006 - Hally Labels installed its first HP Indigo digital press in Auckland
• 2002 - In 2002 Hally Press and Lingard Label Co. were merged into an Australasian business, Hally Labels. Merging the two companies allowed us to be more efficient and more cohesively serve our clients 
• 1998 - Lingard set up a site in Brisbane to be more competitive and to better serve existing Australian customers through a local manufacturing base
• 1990 - Hally Press's continued growth led to the design and construction of a purpose built manufacturing plant in Hannigan Drive, Auckland
• 1985 - A subsidiary, Lingard Label Co., was formed in Christchurch, specialising in the supermarket weigh price market, the meat industry and general food labelling
• 1982 - Design and prepress became an increasingly important component of the label printing process and Identity Digital was established
• 1970 - Hally Press began to grow; our first reel fed self-adhesive printing press was purchased and we moved into bigger premises in Nugent Street, Auckland
• 1965 - Hally Press was established in Auckland by Ian and Pam Hally
