Quality certifications

We have the following certifications which support our quality management system:

ISO 45001 certification for our health and safety management system (Auckland and Christchurch sites)

ISO 22000 certified food safety program to support the manufacture of our direct food contact products (Christchurch site)

Chain of Custody certifications

Chain of custody certification is the mechanism used to ensure the traceability of wood material from a certified forest to any point along on the supply chain. Certification allows companies throughout the supply chain to label their certified products, which in turn enables consumers to identify and choose products that support responsible forest management.

We have the following chain of custody certifications:

Forest Stewardship Council^® (FSC^®)
Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™)

We were the first label manufacturer in our region to achieve these chain of custody certifications, and have driven the development of certified papers within our supply chain.

Environment and sustainability memberships

We have been a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) since 2013. The APC aims to change the culture of business to design more sustainable packaging, increase recycling rates and reduce packaging litter.

Hally Labels Australian Packaging Covenant Member

We are a member of The Packaging Forum, a member-based organisation representing the depth and breadth of the New Zealand packaging industry. The Forum has the vision that by 2025, all packaging in New Zealand will be reusable, recyclable or compostable. We are also a member of the Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme which allows consumers to bring their used soft plastics back to store for recycling.
