Covid-19 update 20 May 2022 | We’re open at all sites as we continue to supply businesses across NZ and Australia.
Our overarching objective is to create a thriving, world-class label manufacturing business. A thriving business is one that will protect and benefit all of our stakeholders.
Making labels is a craft, we manufacture essential products and do so with great pride.
We aim to be easy to do business with. Professional, respectful, urgent, onto it. We value clients that get what we're doing and want to be a part of it.
Our priority is to keep our staff safe, busy and connected. We're fostering excellence and managing industry best-practise teams. Our staff are professional, relaxed people who conduct commerce with poise.
We are tasked with making a sensible return on investment for our shareholders, balancing this with ensuring the business continues to prosper in the long term.
We must maintain a competitive supply chain which supports the needs of our clients. We do this in a professional way, allowing our Suppliers to be sustainably profitable. To support this, we pay all of our Suppliers on time, every month.
We task ourselves with being very focussed on the needs of our customers. Our annual Customer Survey gives us the opportunity to understand how well we are meeting those needs, and we ask for feedback on all areas of our performance. Past performance would say we are doing pretty well in this department. We are acutely aware that our customers have all the votes, and we never speak ill of them, no matter the circumstance.
The experience and knowledge of every member of our team of label experts is highly valued in our company. We have many long-serving staff members and the average tenure of our employees is an impressive 10 years. Acknowledgement of the length of service of our employees is very important to us and we prescribe to the notion of celebrating the people that stay. As such, we publicly recognise each five-year service anniversary from 10 years on. Visit our image gallery to see the amazing milestones reached by our staff.
We have a flat structure with highly accessible managers. Open plan offices (even for our management) and no closed doors are our model. You will have seen that our website contains a vast amount of information about our people, our expertise, our company information. Unlike most, we are open with our objectives and our achievements. Once a month our management communicates company-wide internally about the latest initiatives, changes and successes we have had, and of course the challenges that we face. From the top down, you will find we are straight talking, polite but direct.
We have an important role to play in each of our local communities and endeavour to contribute where we can. We run annual collections for food and toy banks, we hold an annual rubbish clean-up day at our sites, and we donate to four environmental charities annually. We recently sponsored a fundraising event for mental health.
How business is conducted is important, said differently, the end does not justify the means. Excellent businesses achieve their commercial objectives and treat people properly along the way. Professionalism, integrity, morals, manners and respect are demonstrated and promoted at all levels in our organisation. It matters how you treat people, no matter who they are and regardless of the circumstance. Greetings and farewells, treatment of visitors, thinking of others, respect for elders. Maybe it's old fashioned...but manners are the foundation of a positive workplace and we work hard at that.
We're also a bit weird about tidiness. A well managed business is portrayed in the care that it's employees take with presentation of the site, the straight lines, everything in it's place. Everyone wants to work in well-kept and orderly surroundings, and tidiness promotes efficiency. Yes, it's always a work in progress!
